Trivia: First year LaPorte Swimming had a home facility (LaPorte YMCA) and home meets. The slicers won their first annual LaPorte Invitational. Divers only did 10 dives at championship level meets. Trivia: Norm Buckman's first place in the 100 Free at the state meet made him LaPorte Swimming's first individual STATE CHAMPION.
